Reopening News!

I’m delighted to announce that I will be reopening a full timetable of Fitness services from the Riverside Fitness & Rehabilitation suite from Monday 7th September. I am very much looking forward to welcoming you back. Please read through this statement to see measures and procedures I have put in place to keep everyone safe, well and active.

The safety of my members and clients is my number one priority, but while things will look a little different in the gym, I will continue to provide a premium health and fitness experience.

What will be available?

I will continue to offer both one to one and couples Personal Training on an appointment only basis as I have done previously. In addition to PT I will also be relaunching the popular group exercise programme, iGYM. However, iGYM will be limited to 4 clients per session and sessions will need to be pre-booked. iFIT, the High Intensity Circuit Based class will not be running however as the format of the class doesn't fit with social distancing.

Initially Personal Training will be available from 8am-4pm Monday to Friday, with some evenings becoming available at a later date. iGYM will continue to run 915am-1015am and 1030am-11.30am. If you were currently booked in for Personal Training or iGYM pre-COVID-19 please contact me to discuss your new training programme. I would also welcome new enquires from new or returning clients.

Social Distancing

I have been following government guidelines and taking recommendations from UKActive regarding social distancing in the fitness suite. Please note the following adjustments;.

  • I have reduced capacity in the suite and have increased the space between equipment to 2m, as well as adding a one-way system.

  • Bookings are limited for iGYM classes to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

  • I have purchased a mobile plastic screen on the gym floor to protect members and myself.

  • I have put up signage to help members to remain a safe distance apart.

Cleaning

I have enhanced my already robust cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a high level of hygiene. Some of the new cleaning procedures include:

  • I have introduced several sanitisation stations across the suite and have increased the amount of sanitiser spray and disposable blue paper available to members to further encourage you to wipe down and clean equipment before and after use.

  • I have introduced extra time between sessions to allow me to fully clean all areas ahead of the following session.

Stay Safe, Stay Active

Finally, if you're planning a return to the fitness suite, please keep the following in mind:

  • I am closely following government guidelines and working with UKActive, and I will amend our procedures in line with any changes to regulations.

  • Please do not come to the suite if you feel unwell and let us know if you or anyone in your household develop Covid-19 symptoms.

  • Help keep yourself safe by wiping down equipment before and after use and washing your hands frequently.

  • Please bring your own water bottle.

  • Please keep social distancing in mind at all times, and leave plenty of space between yourself and other clients.

  • Please be patient, polite and observe all notices, but of course if you have feedback for me please directly contact me.

  • This is all new to me, I may make mistakes along the way but hopefully the measures I have put in place will keep everyone safe and we can look forward to getting you fit again!

If you would like to book your Fitness Programme to commence Monday 7th September please email or call me and we can get you on the way to feeling yourself again.
